Come Bye Border Collie Rescue adult dogs offered for adoption have been heartworm tested and are on heartworm preventative, spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and, in season, on flea/tick preventative.

Come Bye Border Collie Rescue puppies are wormed for intestinal parasites, received their age appropriate vaccines and are microchipped. If too young to spay or neuter, the adopter will agree to spay or neuter the puppy as a part of the adoption, along with the payment of an additional $100 deposit.

Please note this dog's foster home Location is included on this page, but you must go through the adoption process and be approved prior to doing a meet and greet with the foster dog.

LOVES People!!!!

Rowdy is great with other dogs, good in his crate and is always ready to go for a ride in the car!
Rowdy was surrendered to a Southern Indiana shelter because his family just felt they had too many dogs.
Rowdy is a 7 year old male Border Collie from Indiana. He is currently being fostered in Urbana, Illinois. Rowdy is neutered and current on his vaccinations and preventatives.
Rowdy is heartworm positive, and he is currently being treated. He isn't available for adoption just yet due to his heartworm status. Since Rowdy is heartworm positive, he is on crate rest and limited activity.
Rowdy is working on his housebreaking skills and basic obedience. He lives with a Beagle and three BC mixes, male and female. He has a good disposition with his foster siblings. He would probably enjoy a furever home with a canine sibling for companionship.

Update on 8/9/22

Rowdy is a very kind boy when interacting with my dogs and me. Since my recent knee replacement, he is learning to walk gently around my new knee and my walker. Rowdy has very good crate manners.  Rowdy is a good car rider and a good patient at the vet's office. I believe Rowdy would like a canine sibling in his forever home.

Rowdy is available for sponsorship, if you would like to help with the cost of his vet bills to help get the boy healthy and heartworm free, that would be greatly appreciated.    Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support.

Please contact Rowdy's foster, Ellen, if you have any questions at  ebaxter2010@outlook.com   You can complete an application to adopt Rowdy or any of our other dogs on our website.   www.comebyebcrescue.org

***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them.***
