 Sweet as can be!

Introducing Violet!

Violet is such a love.  She is a 6 year old female Border Collie being fostered in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. She is eager to please, has a great recall, house trained, walks well on leash and LOVES to ride in the car.  Many people comment on how well behaved this sweet girl is when she is out on a walk in public places.  Violet is the perfect companion.  She is such a good girl that she doesn't require a crate when left alone.

Violet is on a diet but we are not going to tell her that.  It will surely hurt her feelings.

Violet is somewhat selective about her doggie friends.  She prefers dogs medium sized or larger.  She enjoys playing with the resident dogs in her foster home.  One is a Terrier mix, approximately 45 pounds and a Great Pyrenees, approximately 125 pounds.  She does like to chase critters so a yard that is fenced is a must.  No chickens.  Violet prefers a home with no chickens since she was surrendered to a shelter because she did kill a couple in her previous home.
*********************************************************

Violet is a sweet 5 year old female that was surrendered to a high kill shelter in Kentucky for killing chickens.  As soon as Violet was pulled from the shelter she went straight to the vet.  Violet tested positive for Demedox mange and started treatment immediately.  Two days later Violet's neck began to swell with infection and back to the vet she went.  The vet had to go in and drain the infection from her neck.  Violet seemed to feel great for a few days and then the infection came back.  The vet re-opened the two areas he had lanced and another quart or so of infectious blood and serum came out.  He then placed a drain in the openings and now Violet is feeling fabulous.

Violet is super smart, walks well on leash, has a wonderful recall, is housebroken and is very people oriented.  Violet behaves beautifully in public.

Violet's foster mom says that Violet is a wonderful girl!
